I value and respect your privacy! 🙂
Hello! Amy here 😀 I strongly believe in the importance of transparency. I believe it is one of the pillars for creating a trustworthy and happy relationship. It is my number one priority to make sure you (whether you are my student, a random visitor, and/or even a potential friend) are comfortable and know how I handle your personal information online. In this document, you will find the privacy practices that I apply to LetsLanguage.com.
Types of Data We Collect:
Cookies – *Drools*
Cookies, no, not the yummy edible ones, unfortunately. I am talking about the small text files that are stored on your computer. As of the type of information that the cookies store, it depends on who/what put the cookies there.
For example, I am using a third-party service, Google Analytics, to track the number of hits and visitors to my site. Google Analytics collects data like visitor behavior patterns, how long a session is, what page does the user in that session click on and things like that. This information does not identify anyone. I am using Google Analytics to help me improve the quality of the website 😀 (though… it is quite complicated! I don’t understand the numbers… ha). Please click here to read Google Analytics’ privacy policy.

Mailing Lists – Overview
I use a third-party provider, MailerLite, to deliver our newsletter. MailerLite collects statistics such as email opening rate, clicks and other technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. For more information, please see MailerLite’s privacy notice. https://www.mailerlite.com/privacy-policy
You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or email me at Amy@LetsLanguage.com
What information do we collect:
When you are requesting a freebie (worksheet, lesson notes, free PDF files), we collect the following information:
Your name (I like to know who I am talking to :D)
Your email address (so I can send you emails! ^^)
You will receive 2-3 emails from me after requesting a freebie.
The first email will include your requested file.
The second email will be a check-in email. If you’ve downloaded a worksheet, then I would check in with you to see how you are doing 😀
The third email will ask you if you want to subscribe to my general mailing list where I will send you learning resources.
General Mailing List
You will receive a weekly email from me with learning resources and/or updates 😀
These emails are scheduled to send out automatically based on when you have signed up to the mailing list. This automation allows me to keep in touch with new visitors/learners/friends 😀 I get to share learning resources with you. These emails are written by me. I also update them as needed.
How long do we keep your data?
How long we keep your data depends on why it was gathered initially.
Freebie: After a set number of emails, the third email will ask whether you want to stay on the list.
General Mailing List: 24 months. I will send a reminder to make sure you still want to receive my newsletter 😀
Third Parties – Not a superwoman (yet).
I use third-party providers to create easy to access learning resources. Here are the third party sites I use:
Teachable – I host my courses on Teachable. Please click here for Teachable’s privacy policy. https://teachable.com/privacy-policy
Podbean – I host my podcast episodes on Podbean. Please click here for Podbean’s privacy policy. https://www.podbean.com/site/default/privacy

CHANGELOG
May 24th, 2018 – The privacy policy has been updated for easier readability and to be compliant with the GDPR. Instead of applying to just residents in the EU, I have decided to apply it across the board 😀
